A childhood fantasy became a reality by visiting Cairo Egypt and the Great Pyramids of Giza.

In 2016 during the September EID Al-Adha holiday I explored Cairo and the surrounding areas. This benefited me as locals were celebrating, breaking a fast and slaughtering animals for a feast which opened up the roads inside of Cairo to maneuver thru the city. Cairo has to be one of the top "craziest" and crowded cities I have seen regarding drivers, just chaos.

I literally had my own horse one day and a camel the next, riding both into the city and around the Giza Pyramids. I am extremely comfortable on a horse but I needed a few tips with my camel. I literally tied my horse outside of a coffee shop near a busy intersection, went inside, had an Arabic coffee, then rode out to the pyramids.

My highlights also included the Egyptian Museum with so many iconic artifacts like the contents of King Tuts tomb, the 6th of October Bridge, Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, getting inside of a Sarcophagus (don't tell anyone) taking an evening dinner cruise on the Nile River, and the nearby area of Memphis.
